Ten of the world's most dangerous aircraft


Fatal aircraft accidents happen more and more in the world. Based on statistical indicators death (the number of flying hours / number of fatal accidents), The Business Week ranked the safety of a number of aircraft currently in use around the world.

1.Boeing 737 JT8D

4.Airbus A310


1,067,700 hours flying deadly accident happened first for Airbus A310. Most airlines have banned the use of the aircraft. However, the airlines in poor countries still used to transport passengers, including Pakistan International Airlines.

30/6/2009 Airbus A310 of Yemenia Airlines crashed at sea, 153 passengers died, only a 12-year-old girl survived.

5.McDonnell-Douglas DC-9


McDonnell-Douglas DC-9 aircraft was discontinued in 1982. However, so far it has been Delta Airlines and many other small airlines used to transport passengers. Number of accidents - 1,068,700 flight hours / a deadly accident.

On 06/04/2008 a DC-9 aircraft of Hewa Bora Airways crashed in Dominika Republic of Congo, 44 dead.

6. Tu-134


This is the most popular aircraft in the history of Russian aviation. Although production stopped in 1986, the Tu-134 has so far been the airlines of the countries of the former Soviet Union and the Near East to use.

7.Boeing 727

10.McDonnell-Douglas MC-11
